As the dawn breaks on the 6th edition of DPS Kolar Model United Nations, I am filled with an overwhelming sense of pride and anticipation. From October 4-6, 2024, our school will once again transform into a global arena, echoing with the voices of tomorrow's leaders. This year's theme, "IGNITING CHANGE - Youth Leadership for Global Progress," is not merely a catchphrase; it's a clarion call to action for each one of you.

In a world grappling with unprecedented challenges – from climate change to geopolitical tensions, from technological disruptions to social inequalities – the need for visionary leadership has never been more critical. You, our young delegates, stand at the cusp of a new era. Your ideas, your passion, and your unwavering commitment to positive change are the sparks that can ignite a global transformation.

As you step into the shoes of global leaders and diplomats, I urge you to look beyond the confines of your assigned roles. Embrace the spirit of true statesmanship. Challenge the status quo, but do so with empathy and understanding. Debate fiercely, but listen actively. Negotiate skillfully, but compromise wisely. Remember, the goal is not to win arguments, but to find solutions that serve humanity as a whole.
