In a groundbreaking effort to foster inclusivity and empower underprivileged students, DPS Kolar Road has integrated a special feature into its annual Model United Nations (MUN) conference. This initiative, now entering its 6th year, offers a unique opportunity for students from Shiksha Kendra - the society's free education program for less fortunate children.

The cornerstone of this initiative is a dedicated committee simulation exclusively for Shiksha Kendra students, provided entirely free of charge. This innovative approach ensures that these students can experience the enriching world of MUN without any financial barriers. 

​

Building on the success of last year's event, which saw the enthusiastic participation of 50 Shiksha Kendra students, this year's conference aims to elevate the experience further. The upcoming edition will feature the All India Political Parties Meet (AIPPM) committee, offering students a platform to engage with complex political scenarios and hone their diplomatic skills.

 

To ensure that all participants are well-prepared and confident, the society is offering a complimentary orientation session for interested students. This preparatory program will equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to fully engage in the MUN experience, fostering critical thinking, public speaking, and a deeper understanding of global issues.

By integrating Shiksha Kendra students into this prestigious event, DPS Kolar Road is not only broadening horizons but also creating a more diverse and inclusive MUN environment.

 

This initiative reflects the society's commitment to breaking down educational barriers and providing equal opportunities for all students to develop crucial skills for their future. Through this program, Shiksha Kendra students are given a unique platform to stand shoulder to shoulder with their peers, voice their opinions on global matters, and gain invaluable experience in leadership and diplomacy.
